After last year’s All in this Together event we sent out a survey to ask people if they would sign an open letter to the First Minister asking that co-pro principles were placed at the heart of Welsh public services. The response was hugely enthusiastic with 130 signatories to date, and we’ve decided to co-ordinate the open letter with the publication of the draft Social Services & Well-being Wales Bill which is a really positive step towards citizen-empowerment and partnership working.
We are intending to send the letter 1st minister letter (click this link) to the First Minister next month, with a fanfare of publicity, trumpets, and supporting statements from colleagues in the UK, Australia and the USA (including Edgar Cahn). We have over 130 signatures and are aiming for 200+.
This is a bit of a logistics nightmare (although delightful in every other way!) so PLEASE could you respond by Wednesday 20 February in order that Noreen and I have enough time to collate responses.
